I did a Planet Feedback letter to Verizon last month and someone responded from the President's office. She said that I should give her a call to discuss my concerns. Does anyone know how much they will work with you at the executive level? We got hit for roaming charges on an old cell phone three years ago. There is a class action suit against them (formerly Airtouch Communications) for this very thing. They claim we owe them $1118. How should I negotiate this? Anyone?
What was/is the status of the acct? (lates, CO, etc.). I tried a "goodwill" w/Verizon and did not have any success, in fact I am fighting an insertion of a TL after years of not reporting. They are tough to deal with, BUT you may have an angle here with the charges. I think you can negotiate here, even say you'll pay a settlement amount, AND DEMAND DELETION OF NEG REPORTING!
Friend had an $1100 bill for one month, settled for $575, one time payment 10 months later. Calling boyfriend 12 miles from home - incurrred local long distance land time 99 cents a minute. ouch - a verizon wireless plan in 2000.
