Okay -- I posted a few days ago I have been successful at having a deleted (now positive) tradeline reinserted on EQ and the company (AmeriCredit) is working on TU. The EQ entry came back a day after I finally convinced AmeriCredit to contact someone at the CRAs personally. TU has never shown up. I gave it a week and emailed AmeriCredit again. Get this. TU said that the tradeline will be reinserted but is INVISIBLE UNTIL MY CURRENT DISPUTED ACCOUNT IS RESOLVED! I have one negative left on TU which is an account I just paid off. I'm hoping since it's paid they won't bother to verify and I will have a clean TU report. Interesting that changes to my file cannot take place until there are no disputes. Has anyone else seen this?
I've never heard of such b.s. This, as far as I can tell is another violation by TU. They must report 100% accurate info. If they have info that they refuse to report for whatever reason, it is willful noncompliance. Anybody else? By the way Dave, did you get the email I sent you last week?
We had something similar with TU. We had disputed a tradeline and then tried a couple of weeks later to delete a couple of incorrect addresses. They told us they couldn't make any changes until the dispute was resolved and to call back after June 1 to get the addresses deleted. When we called back they did in fact delete the addresses with no problem. I had just thought it was because it was specifically personal info that might have been needed to verify. It never occured to me that might be their policy in general.
What about precessing another unrelated dispute? They won't process that? They can't suspend action on case A because case B is in dispute. Please Advise
Butch, They won't accept it, online anyway, until whatever dispute you have in progress is completed. Must be too complicated for their system to handle, go figure. Sassy
Sassy, Sounds like another intrinsic violation doesn't it? Like their inability to list an account as in dispute.
A TU rep told me that even SHE couldn't see a current report because I had a dispute pending, so it must be a limitation of their system.
I've heard the same thing. I called one time to dispute something then intentionally called back like 4 days later to dispute something else and they told me that I had to wait until the other dispute was finished.
Re: Very interesting information on I disputed a couple of different things over the last month or two with TU and had none of the problems you guys are reporting. I made 3 separate online disputes over the course of about 3 weeks. It accepted all of them, and when I called they had the correct end dates for each individual dispute. They did send me a letter saying they wouldn't remove inquiries, one of the disputes resulted in 2 collections being removed and I'm still awaiting the results on the third.
Re: Very interesting information on The reps are the only ones who can't see a current report or make changes to it while a dispute is pending. This is only becasue the screen they are looking at doesn't allow them to see it. I've never had a problem with multiple concurrent disputes.
