After reading these forums in my spare time for two years and spending months planning my defense against bad credit, I've finally won my first battle.

I submitted a dispute to EX at the beginning of February regarding a CA that has had a TL on my report since 2005. I reluctantly submitted the dispute online when I read on my annual EX credit report that the enclosed dispute sheet must be sent within 90 days.

I had sent a DV to the CA some time ago, and never heard back from them. I don't know if they would have been able to verify the account to the CRA without my having sent the DV, but they certainly weren't able to verify when the dispute came through. The CA's TL was deleted because it could not be verified.

VICTORY! Albeit a small one, every little bit counts. Next, EQ and TU should come back with deletions of the same TL. In addition, I disputed a second CA that only had a TL on EQ. I expect that one as well to be unable to verify.

Think of this victory as only the start!

They do add up, I'm sure. How do I go about requesting that an updated report is sent to my recent inquiries, or is that done automatically upon deletion of erroneous info?
