A TL appreared on my CR that was not mine. I sent the company a validation letter, when I got my green card back, I disputed with Exp.

A couple of weeks after disputing with the collection agency, they sent me a letter admitting it was not mine and that they would "close the account." Well, they never reported it as in dispute to the CRA. They left it up to me to get it taken off (even though it was their mistake) and even told me that "they couldn't do it." Basically, I just have to wait the 30 days for it to fall off because it won't get validated. This really irks me--that they err and then it's up to me to remedy the situation.

Should I sue them because they have screwed up because they didn't report the account as disputed to exp? If so, how would I go about doing that?

    thanks!
