I found out that the Collection agency that left the nasty messages on the machine has been heavily fined for FDCPA violations by the FTC. I want to sue them after the bankruptcy is finally discharged..any advice. I'm going to make a tape from my machine. They also called me a##hole on the phone. I'm not a happy camper. How long do I have to file a suit?
Not absolutely sure, but it seems I read somewhere on here you have 2 years to sue. BTW hope your are having a good day today....after you record their insults would be nice if you had a nice ear piercing whistle to blow their ears off with! LOL Don't let them get you down! Tuit
Sweet, Be careful here. There is a question on the bk form asking if you anticipate a settlement from a lawsuit in the future. Talk with your bk lawyer about how best to proceed. Good luck!
