I sent a valadation letter to CA 2 months ago. they mailed me back my contract i signed with Apt Complex (lease agreement). they did not send it back cert so i never signed for it. they have sent 2 letters requesting payment or leagal actions may be taken. the amount is $600. what to do?
update: the account states disputed with all 3 CRA and they have reported dec, jan, feb to all 3 CRA's
You may have to try and settle with them... Don't bank on the fact that they didn't send the validation back CMRRR, they aren't required to do so. Did they send an accounting of the charges?
jlynn, yes they did send statement of charges. what i find odd is i just closed on a home mortgage and the lender did not require paying off this open derog. i was so excited that i didnt have to pay the 612 yet. by the way i received a fixed 30 year @ 6.25%. i was sure i was going to be in the 7 - 8 %.
