x.com has been going thru to many changes lately, I would be leary at this time, that is unless they're back to operating with a system that doesn't change with the weather.

X.com may have had a few bumps along the way, but it's the best checking account I've ever had. I recently authorized direct deposit of my paycheck & expect I will be a loyal customer for a long time. Their policies are much more consumer friendly than banks like Bank of America and Wachovia.
