I sent a validation letter to NCO Financial Systems, Inc. concerning a Mastercard account they purchased from MBNA America that I dispute. The account is for $650 and I just got back the green card from the certified verification letter that I sent them. What should I expect next from doing this? How does this CA respond to these type of requests?

I sent NCO a validation letter and they removed their tradeline from my report.

You were very lucky getting NCO to remove. Watch for them to put it back on in about 6 months or so.

For that reason you should not be satisfied just because they took it off as you will pobably have to fight it again later.

I used the first validation letter that is available on this board.

I sent a validation letter to NCO with no response. I had to follow-up with a complaint to the better business bureau. They responded to the bbb, that they would remove the entry from my report.

BTW: NCO just accquired this account from MBNA America and I have not received a phone call from them yet.

I will soon be posting a link to an article that contains info about NCO and some others. It's pretty interesting.

Well, It has been over a couple of weeks since I sent NCO my validation letter. So far, no reply, no phone calls. What should I expect/do next?

You should expect nothing. But you need to give it 30 days. When you receive nothing at 30 days, then you can send out the estoppel. You can do a search here for it.

It is now at 30 days since I sent my validation letter to NCO Financial Systems. No response from them, no phone calls from them, and nothing has appeared on any of my credit reports.

    What next?

Seems to me that LKH told you want to do a while back.

    LKH also gives excellent advice.

Ok, I found a copy of the Lizard King estoppel letter and adopted it to my situation. Maybe I will never hear from NCO again, but I wouldn't be surprised if NCO sells the debt to another collection agency.

That is quite often what they do.

I sent a validation letter to NCO Financial Systems followed by Lizard King's estoppel letter 30 days later. Still not a peep from NCO, no letters, no phone calls, nothing on any of my credit reports. Did I scare NCO away? Is there anything I should do next?

Send your proof to the CRA's, with a request for deletion. NCO couldn't validate, it should be removed.

I don't know about the other person, but in my case it is reported by MBNA.

Well, not a peep from NCO Financial Systems. No phone calls, no mail, nothing on any of my credit reports from NCO. This after the validation letter and the esstopal letter. Can I use the failure of NCO to validate to get the CRAs to remove the original MBNA entries from my reports? Also, I am in good shape if NCO sells this account to another vulture (I mean CA)?

MBNA does not own the account.. if it was sold to NCO.. If the account was charged off by MBNA, they will not delete it from the Credit Reports..even after they sold the Account..
