Here is the letter that I am planning on sending to Voicestream to dispute my bill.

Well, what do you think? any changes or suggestions?

    Perfect!

Don't forget to keep up with your pmts. that you ARE supposed to make so that you don't really fall behind.

I say this because, although your frustration is justified you don't wanna get mad and stop all pmts. That would create a whole new layer of problems.

And BTW- I always recommend putting the Cert Mail # right in the letter. This prevents them from saying you sent something else.

I would like to do that, but it would require an extra trip to the post office (to get the cert #) and I don't really want to go through all that trouble.

However - I do agree that it is a good idea and on my trip to the post office I'll grab a couple dozen cert forms and RRR cards.....

    good advice again Butch!

    Thanks.

Well ... Do it like this:

    Cert. Mail # ____ ____ ____ ____.

Then fill in the blanks when ya get there.

update: The fax number the op gave me when I called is no good.

When I called back a different op gave me a different contact person with no last name and a different fax number (but this one works).

*sigh* corporations! they should all be disbanded.

should I send this letter to the PO Box that cust diservice gave me or should I send it to the corp office?

I gave up on getting an accurate fax number.

I'm still not sure if I got a valid name for the director.....

    prolly mail it out tomorrow.

Good question. This one comes up from time to time.

The FCRA says that they "may" provide a special address to which disputes or questions must be sent. If they do, it'll be clearly displayed on your stmt. If this is the case and you send a dispute or problem to any other address they have an affirmative defense. If the CSR gave you a different address that is not on the stmt. I'd send it to BOTH.

FCRA also says if they choose not to provide the special address then the regular address will suffice, even if they are PO boxes.

Good luck PAE, keep us posted.

    :)
