My roommate applied yesterday for the Citi Silver AA and got $1000. She then applied for Citi Gold and got the dreaded message "letter will be sent to the address on your application." On the spur of the moment she then went on to apply for Chase Gold and B of A Gold. Chase sent her the message that they would contact her to verify info and B of A said her application was "pending approval." Based on those responses....what are her chances? She did pull all her CRs to double check her scores and they are all clean/no derogs and all the scores are over 700. The only thing I can imagine causing her problems is her credit utilization...currently at 97% and two inquiries from Cap One. If she is denied, would she have any luck going through PFB for reconsideration. PFB worked great when she got MBNA to drop her interest from 18% to 12%, but lousy when she tried to get a credit limit increase from Capital One. Thanks in advance for the advice...
