I applied the other week for Citi AA Gold. Had computer problems trying to get a response from the Citi server. After about 4 or 5 tries I get the old "We'll contact you by mail." notice. So I called the application status line today to check on things and I was told that "they're working on it." grrrrr I can't wait this long! I get home today and what's in my mailbox? A letter from Citi but this one is telling me that my request was denied because I had already applied within the last 6 months. hmmm I called again and evidently my application did get in...about 3 of them! But still, I was told "we'll let you know" about the app they're working on. sigh, is there any way of speeding this up?!?!
Hate to tell ya this, but I had the same problem with their website - and it cost me 4 inquiries that I'm having no success getting removed (even 1 or 2 of them).... Someone else, I forget who, also got nailed with 4 inquiries for their card.... Ozzy.
oh geez I never even thought about the multiple inquiries!!! argh did you at least get the card for your troubles?
Yeah, and I took all 4 of them (might as well since I've got the inquiries) and converted into a Plat. Select with a 32,000 cl. I know it's kinda cheesy of me trying to get the inquiries off - but I really only applied for the Gold and Silver - so I'm still fussing about the 2 extra inquiries since it wasn't my intention to apply for 4 cards! Plus, on my reports now it lists 3 Citi accounts that were opened and closed in the same month... and it didn't do anything nice to my scores either. =-( If you get nailed with all those inquiries too, complain. Maybe if enough of us complain about their website malfunctioning then they might do something about the inquiries. Ozzy.
