I have a couple of bad CC COs that are about 6 months short of the SOL - all collection activity on these ceased a couple years ago. I absolutely will NOT do anything to dispute these until the SOL has lapsed. I do have some completely seperate items that I would like to attack now, however. (public records, small collection accounts) My question: will disputing TLs completely unrelated to the CC COs I'm worried about catch the attention of the relevent CAs and put me a greater risk of a lawsuit? I've opted out, but I'm not sure that would help. Also, my worst CO is being handled by a CA called Palisades Collections in NJ, anyone have experience with them? Thanks.
I thinjk you will be ok as these tl's are not related. As for Palisades, they went away with a simple DV letter.
