I applied for a Walmart Discover on 7/16. I called two days later for the status and was told I was approved. They pulled EQ on 7/16 and two days later on EQ again. Today I logged into my CID reports and it shows 2 accounts reporting. Account: GEMB/WALMART DC Acct #: 6011ooooXXXX Type: Revolving ( they are different account numbers) Bureau Bureau Code Date Open High Limit Monthly Payment Account Balance Last Reported Account Status Amount Past Due Equifax I 07/2008 $1,700 - $0 07/2008 Paid - Experian I 07/2008 $1,700 - - 07/2008 Paid - TransUnion I 07/2008 $0 - $0 07/2008 Paid $0 Comments: TransUnion Credit Card Bureau Days Past Due History Date 24 Month History 30 60 90+ Equifax - - - 07/2008 ✔ Experian 0 0 0 07/2008 ✔ TransUnion - - - Account: GEMB/WMTDC Acct #: 6011ooooXXXX Type: Revolving Bureau Bureau Code Date Open High Limit Monthly Payment Account Balance Last Reported Account Status Amount Past Due Equifax I 07/2008 $1,700 - $0 07/2008 Paid - Bureau Days Past Due History Date 24 Month History 30 60 90+ Equifax - - - 07/2008 ✔ Different account numbers and same credit line. Should I call and tell them before they AR me and close it up? Or could they be combined?
You have 30 days to canel one of them.I think sooner or later they'll discover it.If they get the signup wrong, what else will they do wrong.I'd be careful with them!
Just asking but, did you hit the submit button twice? I've seen that happen before. Personally, I keep them both if possible and let the age. The extra avaliable credit won't hurt you either. Moreover, closing a one month old account won't help. It's already there so just let it age.
No I didn't hit the submit button twice. I called them on the 18th to see why my credit report was pulled twice from the same credit bureau 2 days apart. The CSR told me that the first time they pulled my credit report on the 16th, it was showing I had a FA. So my application was sent to the fraud department. Then she said the fraud department pulled my credit report again. I really want to keep both, but the first comment above has gotten me nervous.
