Want to resubmit CR to Cap 1 - How?

I recently applied to Capital One and was denied for a particular card. After receiving the denial letter, I contacted each CRA to dispute the incorrect information on my reports. The two incorrect tradelines were corrected within two weeks. Now here is my problem. I called Capital One to inform them that my reports have been corrected and asked them what was the next step for them to review my credit profile again. I was told to call the CRA's and request that they resubmit my credit profile to them. I called Experian (twice) and both times I was told that they do not do this. Both CSR's at Experian stated that Capital One needs to request my profile again. Or I can request it and mail it myself. I do not want additional inquiries for the same application.

I thought when an applicant is denied credit and the credit profile is corrected within a certain time frame (30 days), a new report could be resubmitted to the companies that have sent a denial.

I tried to search on this subject but did not find anything.

In Georgia most companies pull Equifax. Here is Equifax policy regarding your situation:

If the reinvestigation results in a change to or deletion of the information you are concerned about... you have the right to request that we send your revised credit file to any company that received your credit file in the past 6 months (twelve months for California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey and New York residents) for any purpose or in the past 2 years for employment purposes.

    Good luck :)

Thanks SoParkDiva. I am calling again tomorrow. I imagine Experian has a similar policy, so the trick is to get to an 'informed' CSR to resubmit the corrected information. The good thing is the investigation and correction happened in less that two weeks, so I have a little time.

I'm new here and have been lurking for a while but thought that I would respond. In the mail today I received an Experian cr update for some items that I had in dispute and clearly on the form that they sent me ,they state that - "The FCRA states that you may: ***request a description of how we verified the information, blah, blah, blah, ***add a statement blah, blah, blah, ***request that we send these results to organizations who have reviewed your report in the past two years for employment purposes or six months for any other purpose (twelve months for residents of Colorado, Maryland, and New York).

If I were you I would send them something in writing (CMRRR of course) that states that per the FCRA they must resubmit if it's within the last 6 months. You could try to call or fax but at least with CMRRR you will have a paper trail.

    Hope this helps.

I disputed my TU CR back in late Feb - received updated CR in mid- March with disputed item deleted and there was a similar statement on it.
