Hey just wanted to let you know that my husband and myself were looking into them as a mortgage source, did some research, and came up with a mountain load of consumer complaints as to how they handle their accounts. I was really surprised. But I guess with their size it may be hard for them to "keep things straight". So look into it.
Wa-Mu bought our mortgage from our original lender when we purchased a house in August of 2001. There were good and bad things that I noticed. Most annoying was that they continually screwed up the matters involving the escrow account. They paid our local taxes twice one year, which created some confusion, but didn't cost us anything. On the good side, they were really quick about posting payments. While there was no online payment option, there is online account access to find the account status of your loan, escrow, and loan details. 30ft
