Re: to JustMe Last time I looked this was a free country. If you don't like this board, you are free to stop reading and posting anytime! We do not need or want a lot of defeatist, negative posts. We have has enough of that in life. Like others here, I was not financially irresponsible, nor living above my means. Life happened and I am dealing with the fallout. The people on this board have been GREAT! and you can see by my scores below, I have made great strides in a short period of time. In addition to the stuff posted here, I researched everything I could find, including BK law. As a result, during this past week, I had a paid tax lien (that wasn't marked as such) removed (paid it 7 yrs 2 mos ago) and had a judgment that was 4 years old vacated! I went from only being able to get credit at extremely high interest rates and you could forget a credit card and driving 2 falling apart cars to owning a 2000 Dodge Neon, 2001 Suzuki Esteem, Target Visa (unsecured), Household MC (unsecured), and Dillards. With my EQ score being this good, I plan on buying my house next. That will save me $200 a month alone! I feel sorry for those who want to wallow in their sorrow. I don't. When I can legally do something about it, I will and I don't feel there is anything wrong with this!

For the record, I sent the following e-mail to Doc and Breeze at 4:12 pm Pacific Daylight time today: Subject: If I wanted to scare everyone away from CreditNet... ...The way I would do it is by "planting" a few newbies who would post just enough times to look like they're for real, then start posting about how "When I tried this stuff that you guys are pushing, I got sued, got divorced, got flogged, went to jail, I got acid reflux disease and the heartbreak of psoriasis. You'd better not do what I did. You better just pay your debts and wait seven years." Sound familiar? Maybe a little too paranoid; who knows? But the more I read the handful of threads I'm talking about, the more I am struck by how the one individual in particular (pulse- whose ip address resolves back to the outskirts of Chicago- at least I think that's where it goes-I'm not really good at the Sherlock Holmes stuff) is really holding on to her conviction that there is no hope and no way to proceed except to capitulate, despite the best efforts and good information of a number of well meaning posters. I would probably plant some more newbies in a week or two and regularly thereafter to spread the same message of gloom and doom. I hope I'm wrong, but nothing surprises me any more. Tom Note after the fact; I might plant someone who WRITES IN ALL CAPS AND MAKES LOTS OF INTENTIONAL SPIELING ERRORS TO RENFORCE UIR COLLECTVE GILT. Also note that I initially stayed out of the preceding arguments becasue I felt I had not much to add; all my bads had been Paid/ Charge offs and Paid Collections, not the subject of the threads in question. Re: to JustMe I have a perfect forum for your justme. Go to msn.com and click on money at the top. Scroll down on the left and go to their community forum. Then click on your money. You will see 2 credit repair threads. All they do there is bash people and call them losers for trying to make a better life. Woe betide the person who owes a debt. There are a few people there that work for a CA and they tell everyone who has a problem to pay the debt. Heck, if someone defrauded you and stole your identity they still tell you to pay the debt. They have what is commonly called an ulterior motive.

to JustMe do you know that pretty soon you will not be getting responses to your posts because you will be on "IGNORE." do you know how that function works? perhaps you should do a search? BTW, like others on the board,I did not use this board to get out of any debts. I have a discharged 13BK, and for five years, I never worried about what was on my CR. Every entry on my CR is paid, other than being a "library felon" which counts in scoring just like an Amex account that went to collections with a balance of $10k .I didn't know that some of the BK discharged accounts were showing as chargeoffs, and that they still had past due balances, and that they were shown inaccurately in almost every way possible. It wasn't until I went to renew insurance, and my company started using scoring, and I got ZAPPED with outrageous rates, that I started investigating my CR's and pursuing either deletions or corrections. I am grateful for all the help that has been extended by the board members. And though I try not to let things get personal, you have really p#ssed me off. Your negative attitude makes me think that you are a troll and that ignore is a good place for you to be. And you know what, you're right, we're all entitled to having our own opinion. I hope you luxuriate in sharing yours with such a wide audience.

It is not something that is casually brought up in between yelling matches with CAs. Did you mention the site? Or did they bring up the site due to the letter lookalike? I have no doubt that the CAs, OCs, and CRAs read this board. We really can't be ignored with almost 4000 members and growing. But, to all members going through credit repair, be very very careful what you say on this board (or any board). I have no doubt that there are "bad people" impersonating "people that need help" or "who offer help". Ninety-nine percent of the people on this site or good, but we really don't know who are the 1% that make up the bad apples, yet. Dani

Re: to JustMe Maybe it is crazy with pulse but some people do bring up a valid point. Almost all of us have had some luck here. Pulse comes on and gets smashed by 2 collection agencies at almost the same time. I am also having a hard time buying it. Most of us use this board as a last result. Trying to get a CA to follow the law is like pulling teeth. I have done hours of research here to prove my case. I had problems with an old tenant and now they are coming after me for their bills. Heck, I got an answering machine message that a law office called and I was to call back. They entered in the info and then said ' oops we did not mean to call you. Call this number instead'. It turned out to be a CA. Can we all count the number of violations here?

Re: to JustMe What I love about all this credit repair stuff is that AFTER EXTENSIVE research, I am no longer intimidated by CAs or the CSR at the CRAs! I have found that MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, I know more about the FCRA and the FDCPA than they do. BTW, it truly flusters the CAs when you know what you are talking about. That is when they lose their composure and yell, scream, insult etc... in general, VIOLATE the above mentioned laws. Then I get to tell them how much I am going to sue them for, most of the time, more than they claim I owe. Wanna pay your debt, insult them with your intellect and pay the bill and get change back! I have YET to have ANYTHING backfire!
