It is true that they are BK amenable. We applied over the phone a while back. They would not commit to anything over the phone and said we would be given a answer at a later time. 2 cards arrived in the mail today. Limit is $1,000 each.

Low 700's. As far as I know they only pulled Experian. Actually, I can see the inquiry on Credit Expert and the girl said they only pull Experian. We are in CA also. Do a search on Nordstrom and you will see a bunch of stuff on it. If I hadn't seen some posts here, I would have never guessed we could get this card. I will do a search on Chevron before I apply. That is if I apply.
How old was BK? What Chapter? Do you have any "included in BK" accts showing on EXP? I am considering applying for Nordstrom and have discharged BK 13 from 1996 and 3 included in accts that will fall off next year.
Five and a half year old Chapter 7 with a number of included in BK accts showing on EXP. No derogs since the BK. Do a search on Nordstrom. Read the old posts on the board. Apply by phone is our advice. If you are married, you apply first then put your spouse on the line to apply. I am using my new card today.
Hello, Got this card also, early this year (Jan). I have a BK from 98 with no derogs since. I applied and was declined, so I sent a letter via PFB and they opened up a small account $200. I used it for five months and called back the same person who handled my PFB case, she then she raised it to $1500.00. I basically told her that there is no way to shop at Nordstroms with only a $200 limit. They have excellent customer service in my book. BJ
Thanks for the PFB tip. I noticed that another member here got a $1,000.00 increase over the phone without a credit inquiry. I hope your increase was without an inquiry.
