This is from Mom's EQ report:

    05/17/2001 DTC-Capital One
    04/06/2001 N.A.F.S. Buffalo
    08/23/2000 FK-Cawthorn & Picard Law Offices
    06/05/2000 FK-Cawthorn & Picard Law Offices
    03/29/2000 EU-Credit Bureau Associates
    02/11/2000 FK-Cawthorn & Picard Law Offices

We never heard of N.A.F.S. Buffalo and have no clue what DTC, FK, and EU mean. We assume it is collection notations but is this right? Are these hard inquiries?

What a mess. Sigh. At least the bottom two will leave soon.

NAFS Buffalo is a collection agency. They are trying to collect that unpaid repo of mine from Primus Financial in Tennessee. Lemme see if I can find a number for them. I'll post back.

Weird. We have no idea what it's for nor could we find them online.

DTC is an ordinary account review, soft inquiry.

The numerous "FK" inquiries appear to be a collection lawyer's attempt to poison a credit file. In the collections industry, this is considered a losers' tactic. Send them a validation letter CRRR. If they won't validate or won't respond, get an attorney. It will cost some money, but consider it a high-yield low-risk investment.

Call EFX and ask for that subscriber's address & phone number.

Do you happen to know what the EU stands for I have a lot of those on mine, mostly for car loans, when I happen to test drive a car. I never did an app. and EQU won't remove them.

I did a Google search for this company and it directed me to this page: http://www.collectionbureauassociates.com/ . Check them out if you want to know what's up with them.

The EU has to do w/ employment. I got one from my current employer. I know that bc the company's name appeared after the EU notation. The day they called me in for an interview, was the same day they pulled a report.

OK well she worked for a large restaurant chain around that time so it must be related somehow.
