then we have to compete with cities around the world.

The news says the odds are excellent for San Francisco. BUT which city has the most
    international appeal.

The easterners will play up New York sentimentality

I've always liked SanFran, it reminded me of a little NY without all the culture! :)
that's why we call it the CITY, only Hong Kong, London, or Paris even compare to ENYCE.
but seriously, event wise, Frisco has a lot more venues that are easier to get to, but the last one was on the left coast. This time it will be on the RIGHT coast. L.A., Atlanta, Salt lake, the CITY.
    Go Yankees!!!!

    Dogman,

I usually agree with the statements that you make. Having visted your beautiful city of San Fran and taken that glorious drive up to Half Moon, eating and dining in your restaurants. Visitng your parks and museums, and shopping your flower market. Only result in one thought.

CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK HOME TO NEW YORK. GOD I LOVE THE CITY I WAS BORN IN!

Sorry but this time Willie Brown and all of you will have to watch from the cheap seats, for NEW YORK is gettin it (PERIOD)

    Dogman,
It's funny because I have "ties" to 3 of the final 4 cities. Born in NY, live in the DC area and sadly I was in San Fran on Sept. 11th of last year. I'm an East Coast guy, however, I was stationed in San Diego for 2 years back in the late 80's.

Having rambled all that out..my vote for the US city to be presented for the international competition is.......

who cares, because it isn't DC!!! LOL

I can tell you this, the folks in DC are bummed out. I think they had their whole economic empowerment plan linked to landing the games!

Seriously, good luck to both San Fran and NY, great American cities in every right.

    As always,
