A lousy 579. Geeze...I'm po'ed right about now. I paid off every single last debt I had. All paid charge off accounts and this is my results. I'm below average. I'll never get a house now. ( My reasons: Public file (that Equifax refuse to delete) Length of time accounts have been established (I thought the older the better) Revolving acct too high (if providian would report the credit limit, this could probably increase my score) Well, I hope now since I've joined Junum my scores will increase.
Re: Well I received my score.. oh hun, big hugs and sorry that providian isn't reporting. They are being wonderful to me about that. I wonder why they aren't reporting for you. I hope Junum gets that score right up in the 700s for you soon.
Thanks for your kind words I think it's because I just received the increase last month (2/28 to be exact). Maybe by the end of this month they will report. Is TU and Experian reported scores online as well?
Re: Thanks for your kind words I am sorry Mother don't let it get your down too much, but I know how you feel I was 540 in October and my husband was 580 and he is now 577. I hope Junum can help you and then your scores should improve. mom
Re: Thanks for your kind words Mother: I have a house and my score is lower than yours. Have you heard of creative financing? I got a house with a score of 520 and I didn't put a single cent down. The interest rate is a fixed 10.4% (high, I know, but I do have a home). I discovered this "creative financing" 3 years ago by accident and bought my house with terrible credit and not a penny out of my pocket...
how'd u get a house with 520 i got a family member with a score of, if he's lucky, in the mid 500s. can anyone refer me to a site where i can see how he can get a loan with little to nothing down
Re: Thanks for your kind words Mother2, Hang in there help from Junum is on the way. How soon are you looking to get that house? I was told there are more aggressive programs from Lexington (albeit more expensive) that are geared up to fix credit situations faster with more "individualized or personal" help. The Lex rep said they get you "Mortgage ready" as quick as a month or 2. You'll be doing much better in a couple months with Junum though, just keep your chin up. -Dave
Re: Thanks for your kind words I cannot refer you to a website. I found a creative financing specialist in my area (I assume they are all over the country), I live in Florida. He referred me to a seller, who paid all of my down payment and all of my closing costs. The seller holds a second mortgage. So, unless you live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, I cannot help you.
Re: Thanks for your kind words Buying a home with a low score is possible. Albeit, you will likely have a high APR at first, but after a year or two of payments you can normally refinance at a lower rate with little problem. It can seem difficult because some realtors will refer you to a single lender, and this limits your opportunity. A good idea is to shop around for a mortgage broker that works with several lenders and that can review your credit profile to find the best fit for you.
Thanks for the support I will wait and see what happens. Maybe after a few deletions, I'll be back on track. I can see the stars! )
Re: Ooops, wrong post. Don't be too down mother. I am sure your score is coming up. It was probably much lower before you started taking action with your credit. I know mine must have been rolling around in the dirt! It takes time. You have had some accomplishments with your credit limits lately and that may take a cycle or two to show up. Also, give Junum a chance, they will be good to you. DON'T stop what you are doing. You are doing a great job and before you know it, you will be in PRIME LAND. Keep your eye on the prize. I also don't think you will have a problem finding a house. Check into creative financing like lucy suggested. Good luck. We are behind you!
Thanks to everyone's support I will not give up. Hopefully by the end of Summer, or round 3 I will have made some progress. My main goal is to keep paying/paying down on my 2 cc. Thanks again to all of you who posted.
