I understand that these are two seperate companies offering two seperate services. However I noticed that Wells Fargo also offers Credit Cards. Are these the same cards that the Wells Fargo bank issues, are the requirements the same for getting these cards. And finially is Wells Fargo Fin. more likely to give higher limits on the cards compared to Wells Fargo Bank.
I've only seen the Wells Fargo Financial Credit card ONCE in my career. Limits are pretty low ($500 to maybe $2500). Interest is going to be VERY high! Think "providian" interest rates between 22%+. Wells Fargo Bank offers a pretty good prime cards, and (IMHO) a great secured card as well. As for limits, WFB is more likely to give higher limits than WF Financial. I've seen unsecured credit cards as high as $12k on initial approval and can be as high as $25k. I would apply for a Wells Fargo Bank CC for the better terms and interest rate. Then, if declined, then I would apply for the Wells Fargo Financial Credit card.
Wells Fargo Financial is seperate from Wells Fargo Bank. They deal with applications that Wells Fargo Bank rejects.
