Just to let you all know, I applied to Wells Fargo Bank NV last month. I was denied because I was "out of the banking area and have no other Wells Fargo Bank or Mortgage relations. I live in Pennsylvania. FYI
Very interesting. I once went to the US Bancorp web site and couldn't apply because I live in Arizona. They do business largely in the Northwest. Maybe I should try Wells Fargo. There are still a few of the old Norwest and First Interstate branches left in Arizona. Wells Fargo has closed many of them to cut costs. Why? To pay for the acquisitions of Norwest and First Interstate, of course.
