Anybody have a cc acct with them? I have my car loan thru Wells. They called me on Wed. and asked if I was interested in one of their cc's. I asked what the particulars were. They said a loc up to $10,000 apr at 19/9%. I told them at that rate, no, I am not interested. He said well if you have higher scores, your apr would be less, down to 14.9. So I told him to go ahead and run it. They called back next day and said you are approved for $1500 &19.9. I told them to forget it, keep you card. If you guys can't even come close to the apr and loc's of my other cards, when you ran my equifax with a 710 + score, then you are on crack. They called back that afternoon. $5000 and 14.9. I guess they were hoping I was stupid.
thats pretty nice credit limit for someone, $5000 is not bad. I have $200 with Target using their guest card.
I can live with the 5,000. But the 1500 was nonsense. I have other cards with limits of 10,000 - 11,500. You are in the same place I was about a year ago. I had subprime cards with 500 limits. Can't do much with that. But, I worked on credit everyday. I even took a few days off work to get letters out and my lawsuit filed etc. But it paid off in the end. I think between Junum and myself, I probably got 45 deletions. Most of them myself. So, just keep at it.
I've researched them once on Epinions.com, and decided I don't want to do business with them. They're not crooks or anything, just a bank offering subprime products to prime customers. I'm sure there are exceptions (such as with Doris K), I just have no desire to fight like Doris to get them. Saar
I'll be honest, I don't much about them. They called me and when I got the terms, I said no. They then called again with the much improved terms. I accepted it. I'll give it a try, and if there are any problems, it will be closed immediately. Then I'll go get another Household card. LOL Just kidding Saar. You won't have to impersonate me.
I applied some time ago online and got a message 2 seconds later wich say that they do not accept applications for Florida residents. No inquire was pulled either.
LKH, I have their Plat mastercard. Opened online in July 2000; got the We'll let you know response. Called a day or so later, was approved for $8500 @ 15.9. Intro rate of 3.9 (or 5.9, I can't remember) purchases and BTs for 9 months. It's now at 12.6. They have always had a 5.9 rate for BTs when I call. Really, I've never had a problem with them, except they don't do electronic transfers; they send a check to you and the other creditor, and you have to mail it (hate that). Otherwise, I don't have any complaints.
