So I get this letter in the mail today - I sent off a dispute for some of my fiance's collections about 2 or 3 weeks ago, but nothing to do with her paid off auto loan that's a good tradeline. Wells Fargo apparently got a dispute for her auto loan, which was supposedly disputed as "not mine". They responded that the information was accurate. Why would EX dispute an account that wasn't requested?
Not competant, or malice, your choice. Some people have had good TLs dissappear when they dispute other TLs. All it would take would be for them to attempt to verify a TL, and get no response. Did you dispute as "not mine" on the TLs you did dispute?
Wait out the full 30 days plus a few more to allow for mail time. If the accounts you actually disputed are not deleted, then you can write them a letter saying hey, times up! Delete as per the FCRA.
