OMG!!! Okay..last week I sent a letter to WFFNB(Service Merchadise card) and asked them to remove the negatives they were reporting. I told them the acct was paid off and it was only late because of personal problems I was experiencing during that time. Then I told them that I had been a good customer, etc..Also that I would like to get a mortgage but I was worried that I would be declined because the late was so recent. All of that is true. ANYWAY, they changed all of the negative info that was reporting on my account!!!!!!! I still can't believe it!!! They were reporting the most recent derogs on my report(two 30 day lates in Jan and Feb of 2001).. All of my other lates (just a few more 30 days from 1997) were older(just a few more 30 days from 1997 with BOA). Anyway, she said they sent the letter out on the 29th notifyng me that the late info will be removed. YAHHHHHHHHOOOOOO!!!!! I'm sooooooo happy right now. Thank for letting me share my news! AND THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU THAT HAS HELPED ME SINCE MARCH! I HAVE HAD SO MANY SUCCESSFUL DISPUTES BECAUSE OF ALL OF YOUR ADVICE!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! Thanks for sharing. I am going to try that with them. I had an account with Service Merchandise but I don't know if WFNNB was servicing the accounts. They 1-30 late on 1 credit bureau. But the account is closed. I think I will give it a shot, since you have been successful.
