I applied for auto loan with ELOAN and they approved through WFS financial even though I mentioned not to send my application to any other company. Now both the companies have pulled the report 1 with TU and other with equifax. Anybody had good or bad experience with WFS. Thanks
I like WFS so far, I financed our Grand Cherokee in Jan of this year. They have a good web site you can auto pay check your pay off etc. And they give you 10 days form your due date before they call it late. I am paying a high interest because I got the loan before I cleaned up my credit but 14.5 is better than the 24.9 I paid on the last car.
3 times a guy from WFS came to my door on my last minivan to repossess my car. the problem- I was never late on the dang thing. Each time I showed him the receipts and he apologized and left. The second and third time he came I could tell he did not wanna be there and his boss made him come. When I called the 3rd time and talked to the manager the idiot said he was considering firing the employee because he did not take our car. He said we could have forged the receipts. I told him after 3 times the employee not taking the car was the only thing between his company and a large lawsuit. They suck.
They do prime and subprime. They repo about 40,000 cars a year. I buy cars at dealer auctions and WFS always has lot of cars there. Most of them sell way under book value.
I had them for about 6 months before paying off my car loan early because the rate was obscene. They were decent, but it took them an extra month to release the title to my car, which was annoying, and they charged extra for a phone payment.
Had my Honda loan through them when I lived in CA. No problems with payments or anything. Also none when we traded that car in and the loan was paid off.
Stay as far away from WFS as possible. They will call you every month just to REMIND you to make your payment (like I need my mommy to remind me) -Sal
I have WFS for hubby's truck loan since 4/02. So far so good. I pay online every month and usually schedule the payment in advance. They have NEVER called me, in fact the only time I hear from them is when they send my monthly bill/statement.
