As for me, I want/need to pay off my $5,000 Wells Fargo Bank Visa balance and not apply for any new credit until I have.

Then I want to apply for the Mens Wearhouse CC, the Sears Mastercard and the Target Visa. Then I think I'm done applying for new credit.

I want my scores to be 700+ minimum.

    What are your credit goals?

Clean reports. I want to line up a WLOC to invest in real estate. Cash offers are more readily accepted than offers contingent on financing. I own one property outright, and recently purchased a bank repo we are now living in. 30k equity in this one. Not much, but it's a start.

The WLOC is simply a means to continue investing. I want to retire from my current job in 5 years. I don't want to have to work for someone else until I am 65. (41 now)

Get authorized user charge off , off my Experian CR.

Clean up hubbys report to the extent I can to raise his score past the low 606 FICO he presently has by getting new accounts added (Did that) and disputing CRA's , writing good will letters and paying off what we owe.

We want to buy a house at a good rate in two years.

hey BRENDA.. can I be in your movie?

    topic:
anyhow I am newly married for almost 18 months... i am not planning on any major purchases for a while now but we hope to buy a house in about 5-7 years and hopefully have kids in the next 2-3 years so before all of that happens I want to correct/clean up my credit report and maintain my good spending/saving habits. Once I clean it up I would love to learn about investing money as well.

I have been doing this for a few months now and I find myself talking to anyone and everyone about credit repair.

I started my serious credit repair over a year ago in preperation for the purchase of our home. My goal now is to stay in the 700 club so I can have the peace of mind that in the event of an emergency I have the ability to obtain credit without the hassle of dealing with these sub-prime rip off artists.

    1. Get a Blue, or ANY American Express card.

    2. Get a Dell computer loan.

    3. Be able to call Capital One and tell them I don't need their 'subprime heck card', and they'll be so sorry to lose my business, that they'll beg me to stay and give me a 'real' credit limit.

In reality, I would love to close them but I have had them for awhile. ;-)

    4. Get the kind of house I want, with a decent interest rate.

    5. NEVER let myself get into this mess again. I know better now.

Clean all derogs off all credit reports. Get and Maintain scores of 700 or above. Qualify for a mortgage at a reasonable rate by 1/2003 and be able to obtain credit when I apply without denial anxiety.
