I didn't know until I pulled my CR's that I was an authorized user on three accounts that are maxed out in the total of 18K and now deliquent. I never gave authorization or signed anything. Can I have the accounts deleted from my CR's? I also have one Spiegel account Equifax is showing charged off, last date reported August 1997. However, it is still being reported through Experian as an authorized user account (last date 10-10-1996,open) as well as an individual account (last date 6-13-2003, closed) with a past due amount. Does this mean they didn't charge it off until last year? Thanks in advance for any help.

sounds to me they re-aged the debt,

you can dispute inaccurate info on your report and it should be deleted or corrected. that includes wrong names, address, phone # ss# inquiries and accounts both good and bad.

I would start an investigations and see what gets deleted then go from there :)

Since when does being an authorized user on someone else's account 'entitle' you to their debt? I mean I guess I'm wrong, but I never thought it did. I always assumed it was the other way around, especially since you don't always need the SS number of a person to make them an authorized user on your account...My fiance is an authorized user on my J. Crew and Sears card and he's not even a permanent US resident yet. Who knew?
