I have a paid collection account on my report. I paid it in 2000. It will not be off report for another 3 years. It is for a doctor's visit, and the amount is only $62.00. If I knew what I know today, I would have gotten a deletion letter 1st. I have not disputed it, because I know for a definite fact they will confirm it. I spoke to them the other day to see if they would delete it, being that it was such a small amount. I thought that my insurance would pay for it, but I had a 150.00 deductible. When I called and spoke to someone, they pretty much had every call they made to me in comments and everything was very well documented. What course would fellow creditnetters take to getting this removed?
I would send the nutcase letter to them and I would dispute it with the cra's. Just because they have notation, doesn't mean that they willl take time to respond to a cra dispute. they may ignore it since it is paid ( they don't care about it now) and delete! I would never ask for deletion over the phone, unless I knew who I was talking to was in the position to grant it. Send the nutcase letter to the CEO/President of CA.
Ok, tomorrow, I will dispute it. Would you think that disputing is as "not mine" would be the best way. I did write to a manager there, it was however a nice letter to start off with. I sent it so that I will get a green card back. It is the 2nd letter that I have sent in 2 months, the 1st one I did not get a reply from. I will dispute and in that timeframe I will give him time to respond and I will be typing nutcase letter. This is what pisses me off, these people have the power to remove something, something that has been paid and they just ignore you. That is why I have no respect for collection agencies. And that is why I condone any conduct to have a negative removed.
