What can I do?

My ex-boyfriend borrowed over $10,000 from me in the past year. I have contacted Western Union, and they say I can get a complete list from myself to him. I can obtain evidence of deducted checks from my checking account that were directly written to pay his apartment, college applications, etc. As well, I have many credit card bills showing my credit card was used to pay for his bills. He has orally agreed to pay me back many times, but I do not trust him. I recently found out that he was dating many other girls and having them borrow him money as well. I also found out that he has a long history of borrowing money from women and not paying anything back. Is this something that I could take to small claims court? Also, he has been reapplying for permanent residency, is there anyway to make a formal complaint against his immigration status?

I would contact the INS and see if you can file a complaint about his immigration status.

Small claims court is limited in the amount you can sue for. You should find out how much your small claims limit is. If the limit is less, you may want to talk to a lawyer about alternatives.
