kelcol kelcol, we are also overseas, were turned down by household due to residency, although I applied for Chase and a BT and voila my USAA M/C of 2000 was paid off, so I am curious what kind of limit they gave us. Cap One would not give us a card either, so oh well, Chase gave us a great rate, when I applied BT had a 2.9 % for the life of the BT, I was excited. Keep it up belive me I know how hard it is being overseas....were you the one I was going to help with buying a home and VA? Talk to you soon.

Not to get off of the OP's topic but if one were to be turned down for something due to "supposed" high balance percentages (caused by Cap1's non-reporting) does it do any good to send that particular issuer a copy of your statement (with the CL clearly stated) to see if they'll change their mind?
I would dump the First Premier card, I think it may be a red flag to other companies because it's sub-sub-prime junk. I ran up my Cap1 card near limit, let it report one month then paid it off. that way it shows a realistic limit. sit on this for six months and build some history.
