My wife has no derogatories. She wants to get 1 or 2 of these: visa/mc/american express. What should she do?

These are her current cards, limits, balances and length of payments.

    CAPITAL ONE- $400 LIMIT/ balance $380/ 14 months

    BLOOMINGDALES-$600 LIMIT/balance$500/3months

    TARGET- $200 LIMIT/ balance $125/2 months

    NEIMAN MARCUS-$1000 LIMIT/balance $400/1 month

TOYOTA MOTOR CREDIT- $20,000/ balance $17000/ 8 months

Pay current cards off first to raise the FICO score.

After that, what cards can she apply for? And isn't that to many cards to have at one time?

What are your scores like and how long have your present accounts been open? Any lates on them or any baddies on your reports?

If you read my first message I mentioned no derogatories and also I gave the length of time she's had the cards.

I think you are stuck until at least one of your accounts reaches 2 years. I wouldn't bother with anything else since it will bring your scores down. Just pay on time and seek CL increases and when the cap one card reaches 2 years try to apply for another card. GM good is pretty good and not too hard to get.

Your BALANCE TO CREDIT LIMIT RATIO is too high...

Pay them DOWN or ask for credit limit increases..."PRE-APPROVED" kind...NO INQUIRY!!!

Your chances of limit increases are better when you are UNDER 50% (under 30% is better)

YOU CAN ALWAYS "WAIT IT OUT" SINCE IT IS ALMOST ALL NEW CREDIT...

A new card at this point might be a HARD SELL (DENIED)
