Hi To All, I posted this question last week but no one replied...so I'll try again. I just sent letters to two CAs offering payment in full in exchange for deleting these negs. from my credit reports. Can anyone come up with one good reason why they might not go for this? Does it usually work? I'm concerend they'll try to take the money then refuse to delete. Calmest_LA TU is now 100% Clean!!!!!
Nice job on the TU report. From what I've read, some are just down right stubborn and won't take payment for deletion. I have read on some boards about conditional endorsements where you send a check and depending on the state, if they cash it, then they are bound by law to comply with the new agreement. I have to do some digging but if you are interested, I can look for this information. Also, tell me your state. With conditional endorsements, you can negotiate lump sums or payments over time and most people ask for their benefits up front, the deletion. Whatever you do, get it in writing. No writey, no existey!!! ;-) Unfortunately, I have no personal triumphs to share in this area. I've just been trying to go for deletions through validation. Hope this helps.
