I just wanted to get opinions as to what CRA is easiest to deal with when disputing items. For me, so far, I would have to say I've had more success with Equifax. It seems that Experian and Transunion are a quite a pain. I would love to hear everyone else's opinions on this.
Equifax also has been the easiest for me to deal with. But Experian has been nothing but a pain. I really hate these guys. As far as I am concerned, they are nothing but a bunch of bast**ds. Just my 2 cents........
I have had a much easier time with transunion and experian. Equifax has been horrible. Maybe it is because our local cbc credit services runs it but they lose all of our disputes(before I sent them certified). I called and they said they had problems with the mail. Well hell, they must have problems for an entire year because that is how long this has been going on. Also, they get 1 page but always say the other pages are missing with my signature. Maybe those evil post office employees are opening the mail, taking the extra pages out, and sealing them back up perfectly. Give me a break.
Its funny how things work with the CRA's. For instance, I disputed an item as "Included in Bankruptcy". Well Equifax updated the account, Experian stated they verified this same account and made no change(how did they verify?!) and Transunion wants my bankruptcy papers and list of creditors on my bankruptcy!
Despite their technical shortcomings, TU has been the "least worst" to deal with in terms of responsiveness and basic phone manners. I don't know what to say about EXP...apparently, they farmed out their frontline customer service work by installing a PBX system in an opium den somewhere. With the money they saved, they put out a product called Credit Expert that boasts 60% uptime, simulators based on a score which nobody uses or cares about, and instant access to something you can get for free anyway. EQ is somewhere between the two. At times, they can be the most logical and by-the-book operation of the three (which, granted, isn't saying much). Other times, especially lately, my dealings with them have been utterly Kafka-esque. I'm beginning to suspect that EQ hires all of the Department of Motor Vehicle employees who were fired for being too grumpy. wajaba
Equifax has been a pleasure to deal with. Experian are a bunch oa a-holes as far as im concerned. Do you know those b**tards automatically verifies AUs? They won't delete it! I mean, the other two CRAs deleted this particular AU act right away, but Experian "verified" it. Grrr
