Hi Everybody, I haven't posted in months. Life threw me one of it's classic curveballs which forced me to put credit repair on hold for a while. I've had to have two back surgeries in the last six months so I've been focusing on healing. Well, I'm getting better now and I decided to pick this back up again. I first found this board just about a year ago, and everything I know about credit repair was learned from the great folks here at this board. It appears I missed a couple of neat "tricks" while I was away, but hopefully I'll be around should the opportunity arise again. Anyway, I figured I would post my progress for some of the newer folks to hopefully provide some hope. I'm sure others have made more progress in less time, and have put in much more effort than myself to do so. Without further ado.... As of 9/2001 EQ: 5 negs 1 pos FICO 564 Exp: 5 neg 2 judgements 6 pos CE SCore 595 TU: 5 neg 4 pos TU Score 613 As of today: EQ 1 neg 10 pos (4 of which were open and close deals from the old citi bdd) FICO 680 Exp: 1 neg 1 judgement 10 pos CE Score 692 TU: 1 neg 12 pos TU Score 698 These scores were probably higher a couple of months ago but I've got some newer accounts reporting now, so it has dropped somewhat. So in one year, I've gone from being a member of the 500 club to closing in quickly on the 700 club. So no matter how low your scores, keep working at it and it will get better with time and effort.
That is quite impressive. Congratulations! What were on your reports when you started, and what do you have now?
Wow. nice story. I just started in July and haven't seen much of a jump in a my score but Im making headway as Im getting some derogs gone and replacing them with positive lines. Im just not a patient person and would like to see my scores jump faster. I'd like to see more stories like this posted to give us new guys hope. Again good job you deserve a pat on the back
by reading that it just proves experian is screwing me. 1 paid chargeoff from a cc 3 years ago and no other negatives. 13 positives. score: 640. lesson learned: experian hires retards
In a year and a half we have had 85 deletions between my husband and I, tons and tons of bk accounts and many duplicate and sold collection accounts. We went from scores in the 470's to almost 600. We still have some nasty paid collection accounts that we just cannot get removed, some do fall off next fall so we will probably finally have a decent chance. Anyway, congrats on your success also.
