What date did they verify?

How do I find out what date a CRA verified an account? I ask because I have some validations out right now. I know the one CA received the card on June 7th. As of yesterday experian still had the dispute active, but it is showing "remains" today. So, I need to know exactly what date this debt was verified. Is that where my procedural request letter would come in handy?

Thinking that maybe the CRA didn't bother verify at all - I put the dispute through on May 27th and it was a second dispute - so it is possible they didn't verify at all. So - should I dispute again since i have the validation letters out - probably would be a waste of time. Sound like another procedural letter?

Ok lbrown - I will read it again! Maybe it will sink in this time. I think I understand it until I have to put it to use - than I am not quite sure.

Considering EXP does not respond to procedural requests, I really don't think they would give you a date. You can always ask. Seems the only real use for procedural requests are to build violations, creating a "trail" against the CRA for FCRA violations in case you go to court.

There was a recent post, I think by Dixiedrifter about getting the CA to give you the date of verification, it was a really good idea, might want to try or search.

Not responding to a procedural request and providing it within 15 days is a violation of the FCRA.

The point however in requesting one, whether or not they comply, beyond the violation, is because you're supposed to if not satisfied with the reinvestigation results.

Until you exhaust all your options, you'll have a hard time proving whether they did or did not in fact verify.
