I know CA's will send a computer printout and expect me to accept that as verification that the debt is mine. I'm wondering what they send to the CRA's to verify? Will the CRA accept that printout, whereas we know it doesn't prove anything? Will they accept the word of the CA that the debt is mine? I'm just trying to figure out how a place that can't properly verify to me that I owe the debt CAN verify it to the CRA. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Here is how it goes.
CRA CALLS CA and says Joe Deadbeat disputes your report about him.Is what you reported correct?
    CA replies Yes -CASE CLOSED.

The CRAs do not request any type of documentation unfortunately. In the ever so eloquent words of an Equifax employee, "it ain't our job to ask for documents".
