Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give....

I was wondering how long it takes for creditors to find out where you are working? Do they find out right away after a new employee fills out their tax paperwork (not sure how that's processed...is it sent in when a new employee starts or is it done prior to tax time?)

The reason is that I want to be able to be in a new job long enough to pay off enough of my bills so that they don't call my employer looking for me or attempt to garnish my wages (there is a judgment).

Does anyone have any advice on this? How long do I have before they find me?

    Thanks

There are stories of people who've been gainfully employed (one I recall was at the nation's largest retailer), used their correct names and SSNs -- and, for a multitude of reasons, hid in plain sight.

It's a big country, people get missed all the time.

If you live a cash-only life, pay bills in money orders, and by-pass debit cards or other credit vehicles, you'd probably have a wider window available.

If you have a judgment, and depending on the state a judgment *can* be forever, perhaps you may want to consider getting legal advice on the judgment - and determine if it could be voided in some way?
