Think about this for a sec... There are lotz of people out there that can get a better card then CCB.. however people get sucked into that devil card. What in the world would someone want to buy with a CCB card?

Frustration, headaches, humiliation, and outrage comes with a Cross Country card. Whatever they actually purchase isn't much, since the initial credit line amounts to less than a hundred bucks after Cross Country charges all their fees and interest.
All they really buy is more trouble than they can imagine, and they pay through the nose for it.

One thing the card might purchase now is
stamps to mail ones evidence to the lawyers for the Class Action Suit that was filed recently. Wouldn't that make ROCCO happy to know that people purchased stamps to mail evidence against CCB. Just another way for CCB to help it's customers.LOL

Some customers are using their CCB cards to finance lawsuits against Cross Country. Now, that is both just and delightfully ironic. Cross Country made a huge mistake when it assumed all its customers would be too dumb to fight back.

As my pappy once said,"You get enough dumb
people together they will come up with one
good idea." I'm beginning to see he was right. To bad ROCCO didn't know this.

Most of you out there that have a CCB Card have had credit problems in the past. Now think about this you would think that you could learn your lesson after the 1st time, eh

Always pay special attention on what you are getting yourself into.Read the small print and make sure you agree with the terms before you get any credit card. Its like this good credit cards are for people with good credit and bad credit cards are for people with bad credit. All credit cards are bad if you charge what you cant pay for.You dont need one if this is the case so you buy nothing with you CCB card!

That is nonsense. Cross Country is an outrageous credit card scam that goes beyond all limits to rip-off its victims. There's no lesson learned in the past that can prepare you for Cross Country, and no one, no matter their credit history, deserves to be defrauded.

Cross Country's "fine print" doesn't disclose that it's a dishonest, corrupt, incredible fraud. With Cross Country, it's those very unpleasant surprises, those things omitted from your credit agreement, that will end up haunting you.

No one needs Cross Country's kind of "help."

Since creditking/Jay are the same person
there is only one opinion. And as stated
nowhere on the card agreement does it state
that if you receive this card it gives CCB the right to steal, embezzel, charge bogus fees
when we feel like it,to lie,and to harrass
you 24/7 if we feel like it.
I have seen none of that anywhere on a CCB app. That is why CCB will pay the ultimate price for it's sins. This moron CCB employee
is upset because his job is on the line.
And he's right after this law suit is over alot of CCB employees will be out of a job.
Personally after reading his posts here and at another site I hope he loses his job he's to ignorant to work for a ligitament bank,
    which CCB is not.

    You're so right, Bob.
If people knew what Cross Country is capable of doing to its customers, no one would risk getting their lousy card. The disclosed terms are bad enough, but what's hidden is terrible.

Looking again over the lawsuit one of the charges was that CCB, in its advertising both written and oral, implicitly stated in words that cannot be misunderstood, that every applicant receiving their pre-approved offer would be approved, yet this was not the case for the majority of applicants who received this "pre-approved" offer.

So much for the oft-stated and common misconception that CCB was the easiest card to procure. In actuality its Providian, in particular their sub sub-prime Aria Persona offering thats the easiest.

My point is, right from the very start they lie publicly, vocaly and have kept it up over the years.

The good news is that other creditors have lost cases on this very point, I see a HUGE FINE over this point alone.

Another charge is over their oft-publicized claim that you will receive up to $2500, with the emphasis on the $2500, where the average granted was some $391?. If they were defeated on this count it would change the face of the sub-prime world where others, most notably First Premier would no longer continue this "misleading" advertising.

Unfortunately, I feel they will squirm their way out of this by convincing the judge that this "exaggeration" it is "common marketing practise", of course the judge may decide to follow the letter of the law and make an example of them; I sure hope so.

Then their's the misleading and fraudulent promises in their solicitation, both written and oral, that no charges (such as the yearly fee) will be billed if a person decides to send back the card without activating it. Of course the truth of the matter is even before you receive the card, Crooks Country Bank is already illegaly billing you and charging finance charges for all the fees (remember you haven't even received your terms and conditions yet) and good luck to anybody trying to cancel without being exhorted, harassed and blackmailed (via the credit report) to pay these illegal fees and added finance charges.

Oh there going down BIG TIME over this.

And to think this is all even before you receive this 'devil card'.

Thanks for the information posts. When reading the "Pre-Approved" trash mail I came across the offer from CCB, and decided to check the net while reading. I would like to point out that there are some key items actually in the statement that they are required (By Law) to make that should give the first "throw this away" clue. First is the "Grace Period" - If it states NONE - Throw it away (i.e. Providian and CCB, etc....). Second is the interest rate. While I understand that a number of us do not have silver lined credit 20% + is still well outside the norm for any credible institution.

    Teach Them a Lesson

On our way to teaching Cross Country Bank that crime doesn't pay, let's teach them a spelling lesson. The word is "legitimate,"
which many banks are and Cross Country Bank has chosen not to be.

    Other Signs of Evil Intent

What tipped me off were the multiple and outrageous fees that WERE disclosed. When I got my first CCB solicitation, I couldn't figure out why anyone would want the card.
The high minimum payment, $35 per month on a little tiny card, was highly suspicious. I think they just want to keep you paying $35 per month forever without any of it going to repay your debt.

    RE: Teach Them a Lesson

As stated here or on another board, CCB is privately owned, there are no stock holders,
or stocks of any kind for the judge to have to consider when he makes a ruling. Therefor
he is free to make an example of the crooks who own this farce of a bank and not worry about bankrupting innocent people. Rocco will
take a huge hit when this is over. Some will say that he's made a fortune stealing from customers, as this is true, this bunch of crooks has only been in business a short time
ROCCO should think how much he'll lose over the rest of his life, as I'm sure VISA/MC
will want nothing to do with him after this.
And I'm sure the big drug cartels aren't pleased with him either.

RE: Other Signs of Evil Intent

Why have any credit card? Especially ccb card. Why not just pay with CASH!!!!!!!! I was always told if you couldnt make a purchase with cash then you didnt need the product. You can rent cars with a check card, reserve hotel rooms with a check card, order things online with check card, so WHY HAVE ANY CREDIT CARD at all? CCB is the biggest damn ripoff company there is($150 in fees to get a $350 limit? you gotta be crazy!) so why not just open a checking acct. and use a check card or cash to make purchases?

RE: Other Signs of Evil Intent

Because if you use your credit card you'll
build credit, then you'll be able to get
that 20k loan for a car... oh, wait, you'll
rather spend 2-3-4 years saving money to
buy the car with cash, while driving the
same 10 year old junk and spend 1-2k per
    year in repairs.

Besides, if you get ripped off while buying
with a debit card, your money are gone from
your account. With a credit card you can at
least dispute the fraud with the money in
    your pocket.

And think online shopping. If you do that
with a debit card, then you're looking for
    it...

That's the system... it's fucked up, but we
    have to live in it...

As a note to my above posting, from what i've heard, CCB is a bunch of crooks and they deserve every kick in the arse they can get

Just to make things clear :)
