"My Credit History is Clear of Bankruptcy? This is the question Cap One is asking prior to apploying for their card on line. Also do they keep a backlist of consumers who have filed BK that they were included in?
I hate those questions. It is a catch-22. I filed BK7 in 1993 and BK13 in 1998. The BK7 is gone and the BK13 ages off the 2 CRAs that still have it in 12.5 months..... So if in Feb 05 I apply, if I say "no" and they find out later that I did but it aged off, they can use that against me if they ever found a need to ("lied on original credit app"). Say "yes" and they jack up your interest rate. Whatever!
