In a recent post Small Claims Risks & Other Gotchas I detailed my feud with Experian about an obsolete entry that they had refused to remove. Well during the last few days, the entry has been removed from my Experian report but not in the way I would expect. So, I'm not sure if the saga is over. I disputed the entry most recently using an online dispute on the grounds that the entry was obsolete ( 7+ years old ). When I checked the investigation results, the entry was no longer on the report, but the investigation results read: "Reviewed", not "Deleted" as I had expected. What does this mean? In a couple of days the 30 day response time will elaspe, however, since it says "Reviewed", does that mean that it will come back? Are they not finished? What's the big idea? Has anyone ever experienced this before?
Who the heck knows with EXP... it could mean that they verified it was obsolete. I guess the best thing to do is to keep an eye on your reports and see if it shows up again at a later time.
I have the same thing from the results they gave me last week. It says "reviewed", yet the tradeline is gone. It didn't occure to me that they might return the TL. I'd be interested to know if anyone has any concrete information as to what "reviewed" means. NuB
