"Account information disputed by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act)" Anyone????
1) Did you dispute it? 2) Have they sent you a response to your dispute? 3) Does that notation affect FICO?
Some CA's automatically label their accounts as being disputed, when they submit them. It saves them $1,000.00 for failing to notate the account is disputed, if the consumer *DOES* dispute it, under the FDCPA for providing false credit information, including the fact that the account is disputed; and $1,000.00 for not verifying that the account is disputed upon a consumer dispute under the FCRA. Nothing like covering your a$$ets...
From some of the posts I've seen from FICO experts, the dispute notation may take the account out of FICO calculations. I think it was in Beating CA's at their own game
