What does this mean??

    "Account information disputed by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act)"

    Anyone????

    1) Did you dispute it?
    2) Have they sent you a response to your dispute?
    3) Does that notation affect FICO?

    Never disputed it.
    Not sure if the notation affects FICO

    Some CA's automatically label their accounts as being disputed, when they submit them.

    It saves them $1,000.00 for failing to notate the account is disputed, if the consumer *DOES* dispute it, under the FDCPA for providing false credit information, including the fact that the account is disputed; and $1,000.00 for not verifying that the account is disputed upon a consumer dispute under the FCRA.

    Nothing like covering your a$$ets...

    From some of the posts I've seen from FICO experts, the dispute notation may take the account out of FICO calculations.

    I think it was in Beating CA's at their own game
