I have had luck in getting Trans Union and Experian to delete an account that is on my report that is my sons. My son gave this credit card company his ok for me to phone in payments for him. They have listed me as an authorized user now. I disputed the account with all three CRA's as, not mine. Equifax just verified it as mine. Should I get my son to call the credit card company and remove me as an authorized user. He has two 30 days lates. I have enough problems of my own.
Yes. He should also mention to the person who takes this request, that he wishes the AU listing be removed on the next update to the CRA's. That should remove the entire listing from your report. I did that exact thing with Citi and it was removed from all reports the very next month. Although I also disputed the listing with all 3 CRA's a week or so after the phone call, just to be sure. You DON'T need to be an AU or JOINT account holder to make a payment... If you gave me your account # I could make a payment on YOUR account...
I understand what your saying George, and totally agree. My son used to phone in his payments, he would give me his money and I would allow him to use my checking account to make the payment. A lot of times he would be at work, so I would call in his payment. One rep told me I could not call a payment in on his account, my son would have to authorize this, and they would make a note. This is where the confusion started I believe, someone reported me as an authorized user of the account, not as authorized to make a payment. Confused yet? I am!

Thanks everyone for your help. If you haven't already figured out what premeno stands for, its premenopausal. I know, you can tell I'm a little sensitive, get my feelings hurt easily. Woman! Right? Not to mention I have strep throat, and am trying to deal with it, thank God for antibiotics!
George and Nave are poking fun at each other, not you. We do that. Re the premeno - hehe, been there. Look at it this way, the end is in sight. Just laugh at yourself. My roommate (at the time) used to deliberately make me cry, and then just howl laughing at me. I'd cry over anyting - a red light - my coffee cup, you name it.
