I came across a link before in the archives to a site that listed the various creditors and which CRA they used.. whatever happened to them?
From a couple of posts I saw he needed just a bit of financial help to keep the site up. If I remember right he was needing about $20 a month or so to keep the board up and nobody would help him so he had to shut it down. That is the way I saw it posted.
thats a shame.. I have access to a few servers in a Qwest hosting center, maybe I should look into putting a service like that back up as it wouldn't cost me anything.
Re: Re: what ever happened to... Somebody offered to take it over for FREE... Others offered to cover the fee... ...BUT I GUESS HE NEVER TOOK ANYBODY UP ON THE OFFERS... He had to do more FAMILY time...
Re: Re: what ever happened to... thats too bad.. it could be pretty much mx free if it were built right.. straight forward web forms hiting a db really. he must have been doing it all manually?
Re: Re: what ever happened to... I know Psych Doc compiled a table that listed areas of the country and creditors and who they pulled. He posted it on Motley Fool credit site a month or so ago. I think he got it from the site before it went under and did some updates to it recently. pb
Re: Re: Re: what ever happened to... Hi, you can file that file here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/whopulledmycredit/files/ I don't know if Yahoo Groups limits the number of downloads, but if you run into some sort of block because so many others have downloaded the file within a short period, just try back in a few hours. This file requires Excel. The data is based upon the 1,700+ inquiries voluntarily reported by hundreds of consumers from 2000-2003. Hope it helps somebody! So that others might benefit, I'm going to post a notice of the file in a standalone thread as well. Doc
Re: Re: Re: what ever happened to... Doc, for some reason I cannot even bring up yahoo groups to download or do anything with it. Some kind of total block on yahoo groups on my system and I can't figure out what is causing it. Would you please be so kind as to send me a copy?
