I disputed an address that I had never lived at (they had the number wrong) and a misspelling of my name that TU had. When I checked my report today it had about seven new address (I have only lived three places in my life) and a new name. They also listed my address as a non-residential address. Where the heck did they come up with this? Has it ever happened to anybody? Any suggestions would be great since I am baffled by this...I think I will write them a nasty letter tomorrow.
A nasty letter isn't going to do you any good unless it's the right kind of nasty letter. I have a really nasty trick I pull on them in those kinds of situations, but if would not recommed it to you unless you have written a letter to them protesting the errors and demanding that they be removed and they refuse to do so. Then it's time for the "crowbar" trick
I disputed my address on my EXPERIAN report... That address # does not exist... I THINK WHAT HAPPENS...IS IT HAS TO GO SOMEWHERE...SO IT WENT ON YOUR REPORT...ALONG WITH OTHER DISPUTED ADDRESS AND NAMES...
George: What are you doing, having fun with this deal or what? Why on earth would it HAVE to go on somebody else's report? It don't have to go on nobody's report. If they can't prove it, then it just gets deleted and that's the end of it. Problme is getting them to investigate and find out the truth. They don't want to do that for whatever reason. They had rather just stall and lie about it. So this person needs a better way to go in order to get the job done. Force them to take it off. Give them a choice. take it off or face the consequences.
