What have you accomplish since your Bankruptcy discharge? In June for me will be 1 year. I have 2 credit cards M/C & Visa 2 Credit Union loans and recently gotten a car loan for a 05 Nissan I'm just curious as to how someone else has reestablish themselves sine discharge of BK.
Got a $300k+ mortgage at 5.5% for 30 years w/3% down last month, *exactly* two years after my Ch7 was discharged. Some of my story is around the board http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56187 http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55748 http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55755 I hope people reading this do not think BK is a good deal. It's a scarlet letter that will most likely remain another 7 years and there many cards - Amex, BofA, Citi - that are out of my reach for quite a while. The good news is, my ego/pride aside, it doesn't matter. I've got a condo, car and $22k of crap credit limits. I've pushed my utilization up to about $5k (I have to update my profile, I'm no longer the BK-FICO poster boy while I have a 4% promo from DMB but I'll pay that off in August when it runs out. I hit all my goals, exceeded my own expectations when I fell upon this board about a year ago and I'm happy. And I strongly suggest that anyone thinking about a BK really look at alternatives.
