What If Ca Doesn't Respond

I sent the CA a settlement letter via US Postal Service - Certified Mail on February 22, 2003 and I have not received the green card or a response letter from them. What do I do now?

The CA continously calls my house at least 3 times a day but I don't answer the phone because caller ID shows unknown name/unknown number. They stopped leaving messages. I know they are not calling me to discuss the certified letter.

So what do I do, where do I go from here?

Have the validated? Are they reporting? Have you checked usps.com to see if it has been delivered?

    Need more details.

Why didn't you send them the Validation letter instead?
Hope you didn't hang yourself with your letter! !

The CA did validate the debt. I also sent that letter by Certified Mail. So I then sent them a settlement letter and have checked with usps and it is still showing when I sent the settlement letter to them.

Did I screw up by sending them a settlement letter? I sent it because they validated the debt.

"Collection" is now showing up on my credit report - it wasn't about a month ago.

What proof did they send to "validate" the debt?

First of all, I'll ask the same question as the last poster, of what precisely did the validation they sent you consist of? Not because I repeat just to give my fingers extra exercise or hear my head rattle but because it is vitally important.

Just because they sent validation does not mean that it is crying time. It simply means that it is time to get a bit more inventive. If one does not have a plan in place to handle all eventualities then validation and all the rest of it is basically nothing more than an exercise in futility in many cases.

1*Are you sure or was it just the usual slop they try to pawn of as valiation?
2*Don't know yet as you haven't given enough information to tell.Exactly what did they claim was validation?
3*Was this reported before or after your Val, L.?

Halo611: How do you want them to respond and what do you want them to respond with?
