ITS is an excellent motivational tool to get them to re-delete.

1*even though you're not providing the information they requested, this still counts as them not validating?
2*I guess in my mind I see a judge throwing your lawsuit out if you don't respond to a reasonable request for information in that situation...

1* Exactly rite. The law does not require you to provide such information it only requires that the CA must validate or cease collection activities.
2*In the first place it's not a reasonable request for a CA to demand something from you that the law does not require of you. Secondly there is no clause requiring you to furnish a CA such info.hince nothing there for a judge to base throwing out the lawsuit on.

    PS
Another thing if they already don't have everything they need to validate then why are they dunning you and or reporting it to A CRA?

    hI rICH,

i ASSUME YOU MEAN AN ITEM WHICH WAS DELETED AS A RESULT OF A DISPUTE.

The notification requirement doesn't apply to information which just "dis-appears" for 6 months and then "re-appears".

    Important distinction.

    :)
