Received a mail offer from Progressive. I called, they said they pull soft inq. Didn't follow through with the call, didn't trust them. Who pulls hard and soft inq. for insurance. I have State Farm and they are just too high. Thanks.
Do you live in NY? ANy insurance company can and will pull your report for insurance purposes. The others that pull hard are AMEX and State Farm.
I'm in SoCal. I have State Farm and they pulled a soft (ID) inquiry on me. I had Geico prior to that and to my knowledge they didn't pull an inquiry at all. Unless it shows up as a different company.
Progressive pulled hard in CO and TX. Geico Hard if new, soft or not at all if not new. (Ex: have auto ins, buying house ins.). Allstate hard and do so without your permission (we got this one removed by going to corporate headquarters). They may promise soft but beware.

I just talked to a State Farm agent who told me they are going to start pulling hard inq (EQF) for auto insurance. ONLY if you aren't a current customer. She didn't think they would pull for Life insurance. I know progressive pulls I'm not sure about Allstate. I think they do.. again.. I'm not sure.
Allstate does and they'll do it without you allowing them. I have 2 inq. from them within a moth or two.
Sorry this is in two posts...Kozman...file a complaint with Allstate's corporate office. I called the BBB, as well. The office of the president will take care of this!

The Stanley Cup finals were boring against Carolina. Very boring hockey with their system.
