What is a goodwill letter? And where can I fond a copy of one? I am going to send in a huge late payment to a credit card and I was wondering if this would help remove the 30 day off of my credit report?
Basically, a goodwill letter is begging for their mercy and compassion, and requesting them to show you a sign of goodwill and do x, y, or z. Really, this should be just you explaining the situation to them the best that you can, and groveling as best you can, play up how long you've been a loyal customer, how you've always been on-time, etc.
